Happy April Fools Day!
I was reading Brian and Tina's blog and thought I would share what happened to me on Friday.
I have Friday's off and had gone to the gym and breakfast with a friend and on my way home I received a call from Toria's High School Counselor. He relayed to me that Toria had been in a fight at school, and that she was currently sitting in the Principals office. He was calling to let me know what had happened. I asked if Toria was ok and if she had won? He said that she was and had defended herself quite well. He asked if I would like to speak to her and I said I would, so he was able to put her on the phone. Also this same day some of the seniors were doing a fashion show for prom. So this had all happened while Toria and this other girl were in there prom dresses, that were borrowed from a prom dress store. So Toria proceeds to tell me what happened. Apparently a girl was being rude and pushed by her and almost knocked her off of the run way and Toria asked her what her problem was and they were shouting back and forth at each other and then the other girl pushed Toria, and Toria punched her and they were pulling each other's hair and finally the fight was broken up. I asked Toria if she was ok and she said she was and I asked her if she had won the fight and she said of course, I then asked her if I needed to come to the school or wait for the principal to call me, and she said he would call me on April Fools Day!!
Needless to say I did not see this one coming. I was caught completely off guard. It was a good April Fools Day joke.

So this person is actually Toria, but we are going to call her Chipmunk Cheeks for the next week or so. She had her wisdom teeth taken out last Friday at an Oral Surgeon's Office in Las Vegas. She is doing pretty good. She is very sore and likes eating ice cream shakes and yogurt for now. She was trying not to laugh when I took this picture because it hurts.

Toria resting on the couch today.

Randy went for a ride last Saturday with some guys from our ward. They rode to Baker and had lunch. The weather was beautiful.

Randy surprised me with roses for Valentine's Day. I was off of work all week because the Doctor was off, and so on Monday morning I get a call from my office manager saying that I needed to stop by the office for 5 minutes. I told her I was still in my pj's and would stop by later that afternoon. She said that would not do and to come now. I told her I was on my way. When I got there she brought out a box with flowers and a vase and a card in it. He is such a sweetheart!

Shayla got flowers for Valentine's Day from a boy in another ward that likes her. Randy and I got a phone call from his mother making sure that it was ok if they sent her flowers. She was surprised!

Shayla turned 14!

Shay got some money for going shopping on her birthday. The girls both ditched school and I was off of work so we went to Vegas for the day. We saw the Justin Beiber movie "Never Say Never", ate lunch at Claim Jumper, and went shopping. It was a fun day.

Shayla is 14 now and gets to wear make-up. She is grateful for an older sister who can show her how to put it on.

Our new Stake Center is finally finished. We were able to start having meetings there 4 weeks ago. We are not a stake yet. We are so excited that our new church time is 11:30 instead of 8:00.

Randy on Christmas morning.

Pahrump Winter Wonderland!

We got some snow on January 3rd. The girls were so excited because it was a snow day.

The girls each got a wool jacket for Christmas.

The girls and I went bowling for my niece's birthday. They are fun to spend time with.

The girls let me take their picture after church. Shayla is actually taller than Toria, unless she wears heals.

Shayla getting ready for the jump ball to start the game, she hasn't lost a tip for her team yet. She averages around 10 points for her team each game. It is fun watching her play. She is really good this year. Her free throws are nothin but net!

Shayla before the tournament. She plays the post position for her 8th grade team and is one of the starters.

Shayla is proud of her bruise she received from the basketball tournament she played in over the weekend.
