On our way to the Grand Canyon we crossed over the new bridge that was built above the dam. The canyon is about 1,000 feet below you when you cross over. You cannot see down because of the high walls on both sides.

Randy and I celebrated our 21st Anniversary on the 16th. We spent 3 days in Las Vegas. Randy surprised me with a suite at the The Hotel that is part of Mandalay Bay. It was very nice. For part of our time together we went to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. They have the Sky Walk that was built about 4 years ago. You can walk out on it and look 4400 feet down into the canyon through the glass that you are walking on. It was raining the day we went. I was so scared at first. It is quite the experience. I finally got my courage up and walked out and around. You could feel it flex and move a little. They will not let you take your camera with you, so these are photo's taken before we went on it.

This is the a close-up of the Sky Walk.

This was the 2nd part of the tour at the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. We could see the river and a good view of the canyon. They did not have any fences or restraints up anywhere. If you were not careful you would fall if you walked too far off of the path. This part has been open to tourists for about 4 years.
